As smart cities worldwide adopt connected technologies and IoT deployments at scale, vast amounts of data are being generated from assets like transportation systems, energy grids, water networks and public infrastructure, for differentiated scenario-based of operational flow. These data, after cleansing and standardization, become Performance Data. This panel will explore how telecom operators are delivering networking-as-a-service (NaaS) to break down data silos and consolidate sources into unified dashboards and analytics. We will discuss global best practices where Performance Data has reduced costs, boosted efficiency and progress towards ESG goals. The modern data center is no longer contained within a single facility but is a hybrid environment that extends to cloud providers, colocation facilities, and edge computing. These hybrid environments increase complexity and are much harder to operate as required levels of performance, reliability, compliance, and security increases. The speaker will talk about challenges of managing data centers without boundaries and how data center infrastructure management (DCIM) software evolves to support the changing environments.
